Odisha, Assam share points in East Zone U-19 cricket match

Odisha and Assam collected two points each from their East Zone U-19 Women one-day league match, which was abandoned due to rain at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Jealgora, Dhanbad today.

Put into bat, Odisha were in dire straits, losing six wickets for nine. When the match was called off, they were 40 for eight in 19 overs with Sangeeta Khadia batting on 15 and Indrani Chhatria yet to open her account. Rani Tudu (19) was the only other Odisha batter to reach double digits. Nirupama Rao rocked the Odisha batting line-up, scalping four wickets for three runs.
